From an IT Project Manager - After 25 straight years of rewarding employment, I was laid off in 2013 and found myself in a situation I was not familiar with, that of a job seeker in the over 40 age demographic (I’m well over 40). I learned of Marin Pros as an organization tailored for folks just like me, lots of skills and experience but no current prospects and a desire to get back into the working world. Marin Pros helped me put together the tools I needed to approach the job market; resume writing, an elevator speech, interviewing and networking techniques and job hunting strategies. Marin Pros has a lot of elements of a support group for established professionals who have not had to navigate the job market in a while. I highly recommend Marin Pros for anyone in a similar situation. Come for the coffee and snacks and stay for the information, education and camaraderie.

Marin Pros provided a comfortable environment of like-minded professionals seeking employment and had a program that gave me the impetus to stay the course and not give up after repeated failures in my job search. I completed the 5-day workshop and continued to come to meetings. One of my Support Team members got a job and put my name in when another opportunity arose. Because of him, I was hired for a position I would never have imagined, doing something totally different from my 46 previous years
